LED porch lights – The mounting of a porch light is essentially the same process as the mounting of any other type of ceiling light: You put it in place of an existing lighting fixture, which connects to the same wire circuit and control it from the same switch of wall. The only real difference with the porch light is that the connections of the insulation tape cables should be sealed, in addition to connecting the nuts to provide greater protection against moisture. Make sure that the purchase accessory is rated for outdoor use.
Turn off the LED porch lights unit in the household fuse box. Removing the existing lamp by removing the screws that hold it to the electrical box on the roof of the porch. Disconnect the cables above the device as it is taken down. You should be left with an exposed electrical panel and three cable ends: ground black, white and bare. Keep the mounting bracket that comes with the new accessory up to the electrical box. And then, secure the housing bracket with the supplied screws. Hook the end of the copper wire around the green ground screw of the mounting bracket and tighten the screw.
And then, lift the LED porch lights so it is close to the electrical box. Connect the white wire of the device to the white wire of the box by turning a plastic nut over them two. And also wrap the connection with electrician’s tape. Connect the black lighting cable to the black ceiling wire in the same way you connected the white cable. Hold the lamp against the mounting bracket by inserting the wires into the case while doing so. Connect the appliance to the box with the supplied screws. Remove the power again.
